How To Complete The “Ever So Close” Quest

0

“Ever So Close” is the last Archon Quest of Chapter III: Act I, and Genshin Impact fans will receive Primogems and an achievement for completing it.

After encountering Dori in Port Ormos, the Traveler and Paimon must head to Wikala Funduq to meet again with Alhaitham to complete the Genshin Impact Archon Quest “Ever So Close.” Since this quest is part of “Chapter III: Act I – Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark,” it is impossible for players to miss this mission if they are following the main storyline of Sumeru. Completing “Ever So Close” will reward players with Adventure EXP, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Hero’s Wits, and Primogems, the latter of which is the premium currency of Genshin Impact.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Genshin Impact‘s Archon Quests are typically linear and straightforward, with relatively easy-to-fulfill objectives. However, there are undoubtedly moments during which players might struggle to keep up with what they need to do. Oftentimes, the localized instructions of the quest objective might unintentionally be too vague, or an obvious yet semi-hidden mechanic is unbeknownst to Travelers. An example would be fighting the training device during “The Servant’s Path” of Inazuma. Similarly, the “Ever So Close” quest in Genshin Impact could have some sections that players must have trouble understanding.

Completing Ever So Close In Genshin Impact

Quest Step No. Objective Details
1
  • Start the quest by heading to Wikala Funduq and giving Alhaitham the Canned Knowledge.
2
  • Next, meet Alhaitham near the inlet south of Devantaka Mountain in the Ardravi Valley.
3
  • To test the Canned Knowledge, Alhaitham wishes to evaluate the Traveler’s combat capabilities.
  • This process will require players to fight several waves of hostile Fungi mobs.
  • After the first two waves, adventurers will be tasked with opening their inventory to activate the Canned Knowledge.
4
  • After completing the extensive combat scenario, Alhaitham will mention that he’s returning to Wikala Funduq but expects to hear from the Traveler within two in-game days.
  • Accordingly, use the pause menu to access the Clock in Genshin Impact and use the Wait function for two days.
  • The earliest time that should progress the quest after two days will be 7 a.m.
5
  • Once the wait is over, return to Port Ormos and speak with Dori.
  • Next, go to Wikala Funduq to see Alhaitham, who can be found in the same location as before.
6
  • Alhaitham will leave to make some preparations regarding his findings and will request that the Traveler meet him at Wikala Funduq again after a few days.
  • Fortunately, no waiting is required this time since the event occurs via cutscene.
7
  • Players must then travel to the southern docks of Port Ormos to meet with Alhaitham at an agreed location, where they will also encounter several hostile members of Ayn-Ahmar.
  • This combat scenario is the quest’s final battle in Genshin Impact, occurring within a barrier that players cannot leave.
8
  • Once the battle is over, several cutscenes will trigger, including a lengthy dialogue sequence with Alhaitham.
9
  • This last event will conclude the “Ever So Close” quest in Genshin Impact, rewarding players with the items mentioned above, including the achievement “Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark.”
